Environmental managers learning from each other

Pleased to meet you

As developers of QandR, we are enthusiastic about our product, and have distinct ideas about the tool's strong points, and the benefits for users. It is nice to hear from customers who, when reflecting on their QandR sessions, point out exactly the benefits that we had conceived from behind our desk.

One such customer is Jeroen Maas. Jeroen is an enthusiastic trainer who, with playful ease, enthuses others about the field of environmental management. Among other things, he does this for Brainbuilders Academy. They offer environmental management training in which participants from the government and the market learn from each other how to deal with environmental management. In addition, with the Environmental Management Thermometer, they give advice to organizations about the quality of environmental management in an organization. The Brainbuilders Academy takes environmental managers to a higher level.

"With QandR, the audience is 'forced' to pay attention. Everyone participates and I can point at the dots, words or pictures on the screen and ask participants to explain their contributions. This is also how people, who otherwise would never have come to the interruption microphone, now do tell their story. That brings the session to life."

Jeroen Maas | Owner - Brainbuilders Academy

For Jeroen, QandR is the ideal tool to quickly gauge opinions and get groups of environmental managers from different backgrounds acquainted quickly and effectively, and to start a conversation together. That conversation often starts with a map on which people show where they come from, using the Pointer. What projects they are working on. What their background is. Questions likes these break the ice, engaging everyone in a playful and natural way. The Moodboard is ideally suited for this.

You can then use Wordclouds and Pointers to brainstorm and then dive deeper with Sticky Notes, that can be discussed one by one.

The relatively simple format of Jeroen's sessions highlights the simplicity and effectiveness of QandR. A good choice if you want to have a constructive, substantive conversation with a diverse group in which everyone participates.

Finally, two more pros of QandR, according to Jeroen (and entirely as intended by us).
Reporting: immediately after the session, all visuals are placed in a PDF or Excel sheet, to share with participants or other stakeholders.
And ease of use: not only the session, but also the QandR editor is very easy to use. Like that time when, due to a misunderstanding about the date, Jeroen had to give a QandR session with little or no preparation time, and set it up from scratch. That was done in five minutes.
