POSITIONING OF QANDR

From input to conversation

QandR: interactive group discussions that go beyond gathering input

QandR was developed for group conversations in which opinions, doubts and insights are truly discussed. Whereas many interactive tools focus on quickly gathering input, QandR supports qualitative dialogue: the conversation that arises after responses have been given.

QandR is used in workshops, presentations, market research and participation meetings — live, online and hybrid.

From input to conversation

Tools such as Mentimeter are great at gathering responses in large groups. This works well when the goal is to quickly get a collective picture. QandR is designed for situations in which those responses are the starting point for a conversation.

With QandR, the group sees responses in real time on the main screen. This makes it possible to ask follow-up questions, discuss differences and explore points of view immediately. Not minutes later, but at the moment itself — right where the dynamics are.

Real-time interaction as a conversation tool

An important distinguishing feature of QandR is real-time interaction. Working methods such as the Pointer allow every movement on the smartphone to be immediately reflected on the main screen. Even doubt or hesitation becomes visible. This provides valuable starting points for further discussion.

This direct feedback supports the facilitator in steering the conversation and reveals nuances that are often lost in traditional tools.

Minimal barriers, suitable for a wide range of digital skills

In QandR, the smartphone acts as a personal interaction tool, while the facilitator remains in control of the main screen. Participants do not need to navigate or search: their phone automatically follows the course of the session.

This makes QandR accessible to groups with varying digital skills. From policymakers and professionals to residents, young people and seniors — anyone who can operate a smartphone can participate without explanation or training.

More inclusive than whiteboards

igital whiteboards such as Miro and Mural are powerful tools for co-creation within teams that are digitally skilled and work behind a laptop. QandR deliberately takes a different approach: smartphone-first, without complex interfaces.

This makes QandR suitable for mixed groups and for situations where not everyone is sitting behind a laptop.

More than just numbers

Many QandR working methods focus on subjective and intuitive responses: associations, feelings and first impressions. It is precisely this input that often forms the key to a richer and more nuanced conversation. By making these responses visible and discussing them together, greater understanding and better decision-making are achieved.

The core

QandR combines the ease of use of quick interaction tools with the depth of a good conversation. Not just to gather opinions, but to understand them together.
